Stratford and NEC February 2022

One of our trips for this year was to the Motorhome and caravan show at the NEC in Birmingham. We booked a couple of nights at Conkers camp site which was about 40 minutes from the NEC but we decided to got to Stratford upon Avon for a couple of days before the show so we pulled into the leisure centre car park in town where there are 9 motorhome parking bays. we paid £10 per night and explored the town and tried the pubs. The Garrick is a Green king pub dating from the 1400s and is well worth a visit.

We had a walk along the Avon past Lucy's weir and back to the marina where we listened to a busking violinist before heading into The dirty duck, another Green king pub which had a lovely secret garden where we sat and drunk in the peaceful atmosphere, and the lovely ale!

After our two nights at the leisure centre car park we headed off to the NEC where we managed to get our new Lithium leisure battery at show price so Andy was happy! Conkers camp site was ok but we didn't take any photos of it as we will probably find something a bit closer next time.
