Our next trip was on the 15th March 2019 to Ely and a CL site called Heatherbield. We left Harlow after Andy finished work and got to the site in the dark. The site is less than a mile from Little Downham and is a half acre plot behind the owner's house. There were five pitches, (two hard stands on gravel and the rest on grass). We decided to park on the hard standing as the ground was still a bit soft. There was one other van opposite us.
There was a nice little shower room and toilet and an information shed where you could borrow news papers, books and games for a rainy day in. We don't do rainy days in but it was a nice touch. We filled the water tank and hooked up to the electric and settled in for the evening.
In the morning Andy took Deefa dog for a walk into Little Downham and took some photos of the village green and St Leonard's church. He discovered a nice looking pub,
The Little Downham Anchor which we would spend that evening in.
