After a night at Waterford heath we set off for Hertford Camping & Caravan club site on Mangrove road, where we had booked a grass pitch with electric for 5 nights. A bit of a treat for us and we were looking forward to being able to get the bar-b-q, awning and the rest of the outdoor living kit out.

We arrived just after 1pm and were shown to our pitch, a large expanse of grass with one neighbour 200 metres away!

Once we had made our minds up exactly where we wanted to park we started setting up camp.

A short slideshow

After a great night's sleep I woke up to this view...today's plan is too sit around all day in the sunshine.

On Friday we walked into Hertford town and did some window shopping. It was nice to be amongst the crowds after the lock down year but I still felt a bit tense when people seemed to aim themselves at me and my bubble! We thought we'd try to find a pub with a decent outdoor space and have a beer or two in the sunshine. We discovered 'The Woolpack' and waited to be shown to our table for two. I could get used to this, (very continental).

After a couple of lovely pints in the sunshine we set off back to camp and walked through Hertford town where we discovered a pie n mash shop! We bought two salt beef sandwiches and rushed home to eat them before they got cold.

On Sunday we decided to get the OS map out and choose a short walk. We chose 'Morgan's walk'

This was just a quick walk to get a bit of exercise. We didn't see Morgan!
