Thursday 25th September

We had booked this weekend a few months back and it was time to set off and head for Lincolnshire.

Field view adventures are Youtubers, Steve and Katherine, who we have followed for quite a while and they had arranged this weekend rally in aid of the Bluebell childrens hospice charity.

We stopped at Peterborough services and then went on to our first stop over at The Blue bell Inn pub stop. ///endings.ownership.probably. The Blue bell dates back to 1257 and was an Inn in the 16th century.

We parked and went in to introduce ourselves, it was very busy and the landlord welcomed us saying that there was nothing to pay as there was plenty of space in the car park.

We had a look in the Lancaster room where there were photos of the bombers and other war scenes relating to the Lancasters and then sat at the bar and ordered a pint of Abbott and a pint of orange cider and watched the very busy staff serve the food.

As the afternoon/evening progressed the quiz night began and although we didn't take part officially we quietly tried to answer some of the questions for fun.

After a couple of pints and double Jamesons each we staggered back to the van for a quiet nights sleep.

Friday 26th

We had been talking to our friends, Chris and Annita, about this weekend and had arranged to meet them and travel to the rally in convoy so that we could park next to each other. They had stayed at a campsite nearby last night and we arranged to meet at Lidls in Lincoln.

We set off on the 40 minute drive and found Lidls and parked next to Chris and Annita who had done their shopping already so Sue went in and got our bits.

We all carried on to the site ///skillet.iron.bonfires where we paid the £20 for two nights and filled the tank with clean water before parking up and getting the camp set up.

A quick look around before we get set up, but not everything goes as smoothly as you would hope...🤣🤣🤣😉

Oh well, we leave Chris to sort that out whilst we make camp.

The weekend was full of meeting new poeple and new Youtuber's, sitting 'round the camp fires, drinking, laughing and hoping for your raffle ticket number to be called out during the 90 minute draw!

Andy went back to the van to watch the Red Roses (England womens) rugby final against France which the Red Roses won.

Katherine and Steve did a fantastic job and raised loads for the Bluebell childrens hospice charity and the weekend attracted many more vanners than they expected.

Well done Field view adventures and everyone who was involved.

We look forward to next years meet up.
